Update about my new project: Pixel Continents Park

Hayo, who follows me on Instagram, Patreon or Twitter knows that I started last month with my sixth mega park. It’s always difficult to come up with a theme right from the start. I’ve already done that in the past with Pixel Island and Artic Valley, but for Pixelland this was not the case. That project was more based on a realistic park with different attractions in a specific theme.

For that reason I wanted a special theme for my new park. This ensures that I can easily come up with new attractions and it’s also much more inspiring. Pixel Continents Park will be my new project with the earth as main subject. It will not be a copy of existing buildings, monuments or attractions, but the feeling and atmosphere of every part of the world. It will not be easy, but a nice challenge.

Welcome

The first thing that I made is a (mini) parking lot and a big entrance. It contains all kinds of buildings from the different continents. In front of the building you will find a fountain with an abstract globe and the name of the park. This immediately sets the atmosphere of the park and what you can expect during your visit.

First coaster of Pixel Continents Park

Rainforests and jungles can be found everywhere in the world, also in this park in the form of two islands. On one of these islands you will find a spinning coaster, which is almost finished. So the first video will follow very soon on my YouTube Channel.

2000 hours

You probably will not believe it, but yesterday I played my 2000th hour in Planet Coaster! After all those hours I still do not get bored and get enough inspiration. Thanks to frontier who always make great packs. Follow me on social media and patreon, so you will not miss any sneak preview or video of this new project.

Pixelland delayed by Planet Coaster bug

Unfortunately, since the Toolkit-update I and other Planet Coaster players have problems with the game. Due an unknown bug, the game has become extremely slow, extremely low fps and continuous lags.

The problem is only noticeable when you open a large park. This should not be a mega park, one third of the map filled gives already problems. This makes it for me impossible to continue working on my fifth mega park Pixelland. That’s sad because the park is 98% finished and only a few minor adjustments have to be made. If the bug hadn’t occurred, the park would be released this weekend.

As long as this bug is present, there is no reason to upload the park to the Steam Workshop. Everyone would get lots of framedrops and the park wouldn’t be playable. For that reason I have to say that the release of Pixelland has been delayed.

I know that the game does not have the best performance, but large parks were always playable, this is no longer the case since the last update. I hope Frontier finds the bug and resolves it as quickly as possible.

Pixel Island: Discover the adventure!

Welcome to the adventure! Almost 5 months after Pixel Studios and Pixel World earlier this year, I can proudly present Pixel Island. This is my third theme park and this time it’s located on a mystical island with a tropical atmosphere. Walking through the park is a unique experience, all attractions are fully themed and each of them tells a own story. Get lost? Check the guidemap (see screenshots). Personal note: It’s definitely recommended to visit the park during night time, the park is fully optimized and gives you a magical experience.

At Pixel Island, the adventure comes alive, but it’s also a place to celebrate. Central to the island you will find the Mexican village ‘San Milagro’, at the fountain and pond is a colorful celebration. Several times a day you can see there the Colorida fountain show. Behind the village you’ll find ‘Hidden worlds’ with beautiful nature and mystical buildings.

The Jungle (Jungolahh) is on the right side of the island. Experience a typhoon, go to the end of the world or meet the creatures in the Kewer temple. The pirates have taken the left side of the island (Terra Bay). Escape the revenge of the petrified captain in Venganza, take a trip through an active volcano or walk through the Arco village. Last but not least, a Pirate Saga is told every evening during a spectacular fireworks show in the harbor.
